A low pressure system will drop down from Canada Thursday and bring gusty northeast winds and much colder temperatures to the region. Sierra Ridge winds will be gusting up to 100mph from the northeast with strong gusts reaching lower elevations as well. Expect afternoon high temperatures to be in the low 40s across western Nevada and in the low to mid 30s for higher elevations in the Sierra by Thursday.
